Pearls are the only precious stones made by a Living animal. They are the fully furnished items since the moment they are collected from their source of origin: the sea and need no further cutting or finishing.

A pearl is considered flawed if it has cracks on the skin, a joint appearance, a mole, is lusterless, has mud or other material. They come in a Variety of colors like white, black, shades of yellow, pink, green, red, brown and blue. Pearl is a Stone that is considered very sober and is therefore endorsed by both men as well as women. Since its discovery, people have a liking for pearl and have used it in the form of jewelry as necklaces, earrings and bracelets. They are easy to maintain and preserve and are reasonable to buy as compared to other jewelry like gold and diamonds and thus provide a tough competition to their counterparts. They can be worn with traditional as well as with modern outfits and look elegant on both. A pearl is considered to be fake or of low quality if it has cracks on the surface, is lusterless, or if it contains some impurities like mud or sand particles inside it. Pearl represents the queen in Jyotish.

Formation of pearls : Pearl formation occurs in different ways. A few of these are

1.Natural Pearls formation: It occurs because of nature without any involvement from human being. Natural pearl formation occurs generally near sand places or near seashell. Now a days true natural pearls are the most rare. These are known to be the most precious pearls. These pearls were generally used in old days jewelry.

2.Cultured Pearl formation: this is also he same as natural pearls. The only difference is that man also plays an important role but in a controlled manner. Now a days, the large number of pearls sold are of this form.

The pearl represents Chandra, the moon which directly influences emotions and mind. Wearing a pearl can bring harmony and stability . Chandra influences the seasonal, monthly and daily cycles and rhythms in the physiology and our emotions. Chandra, the moon, occupies a central role in the solar system and in our physiology.

This influence is represented by the hypothalamus in our physiology which controls our behavior, our emotions, our hormonal and reproductive cycles and our body temperature. It nourishes the physiology like a mother or queen and occupies a central place in the center of the brain with the thalamus. When the planet moon is malefic is not in our favor a person can suffer from diseases like gradual loss of semen while passing urine and mental disorders. Due to these unfavorable conditions we suffer from a lot of miseries.The life becomes very hard.
