The main cause of this is the few incidents of mismanagement done by a few early companies,QNET scam: are the rumours keeping you from the reality? Articles which didn’t hurt them as much it is casting a shadow on the reputation of the companies that are in this industry today. Though in small groups, but a certain prejudice has captured the mind of the common man, that all direct selling companies are evil. This is certainly not the case.  And the best exhibit for it is QNET, which has soared to success despite rumours that have been doing the rounds.

This Multi-billion direct selling giant has enhanced the lives of not only the IRs, but also of the citizens of the countries where it is present. Their operations are giving a boost to the local economy. The training that the IRs receives from the company is helping them to hone their skill as an entrepreneur in the new world. As there is no restriction on who can join the company as an IR, many groups in society which are otherwise unemployed due to the economic slowdown are getting a chance to make a brighter future for them. This Asian direct selling powerhousehas also engrossed itself in philanthropic work through their corporate social responsibility program, RYTHM foundation (Raise Yourself To Help Mankind).RYTHM foundation recently joined hands with Avalokitesvara Trust and will be establishing libraries in 15 rural schools in Ladakh, the region near Indo-Pak border. Do you still think the rumours that talk about QNET scam are true?

At a recent event in Malaysia, Marussia F1 Team Drivers, Max Chilton and Jules Bianchi took a break from their busy F1 schedule to visit Taarana, a school for children with special educational needs, as part of their support for their official direct selling sponsor. They took part in a mock car race using remote control cars with the children at Taarana who, aged between six and 12, face challenges with delayed development in academic, social and adaptive skills, also known as Mild Intellectual Disability (MID).

Recently, after the arrest of the Amway India Managing Director and CEO, William Scott Pinckney on the charges of duping members, Ajay Chanam, Head, Corporate Affairs (India) of the company welcomed the ban on pyramid scam companies in India. In the interview he explained the certain key differences between a direct selling company and a pyramid scheme. Unlike a pyramid scheme company, the DS does not earn commission solely through recruitment, but rewards the members in a structural manner for promoting their products. Also the DS companies have restriction on their compensation plans, limiting the number of people who can earn commission from sales. This keeps the members from getting pulled in the whirlwind of endless chains of members and ensures the rumours like QNET scam never come true. Although direct selling seems as lucrative it also requires hard work, unlike the other pyramid companies that promise you a quick buck. Hence it is very important to know the difference between a legitimate direct selling company and a fraudulent pyramid scheme and take an educated decision.
