Reading a Paper Shredder Review: Separating Fact from Fiction

Have you ever noticed how many of these reviews offer a surprisingly heightened view of the product at hand? If every single one of these reviews were telling the truth, then there wouldn’t be any competition within the shredding market, as every last one of the products these companies are offering would rise to the highest levels of efficiency, leaving no room for technological advancement. This is clearly not the case, so how then, are we able to separate the wheat from the chaff?  The answer to that question remains hidden within the confines of common sense. Someone once said “it is not wise to trust everything that you read,” and that truly applies here. Just because people are saying that it is a wonderful product, doesn’t mean that the product won’t break down after a few uses, or if the company itself is even legit. Each customer review holds a few key elements that we need to explore before making any wise decision regarding a large purchase based on a potentially flimsy paper shredder review.  First, is the paper shredder review offering a link to another website? You have seen these open forums before, you have seen these reviews leading to other websites, but have you noticed that the review itself is always extremely positive about the product at hand? This is one of the major keys! Yes, a review can have links posted within them, and not all of them are scams, but it depends on which website they are leading you to. For example, would you trust a paper shredder review that led you to a website specifically designed to sell that particular item? The name placed on the review is also rather important. If the name is “shredder king” or “paper shredder reviewer,” then more likely than not, these reviews are false and offered not by customers, but by those who have either a direct or indirect interest in seeing this particular product sell. Again, get out of there! In the end, the only paper shredder review that can be trusted is one that is not afraid to state the obvious… there are no perfect shredders. If the review has a hint of negativity, you are going to be able to trust it with everything you have.
