It makes sense that the school's objective is to raise as much money as possible. However, your child's safety is not worth the cost. There are several ways to ensure your child's safety as well as optimizing fund raising money.

The most important thing to remember is to never let your child go door to door alone. If you have the time to go with your child, this is a very good way to collect orders. If you don't have the time or ability to go with your child and know an older teenager that can accompany them, offer to buy them a batch of cookies for going with your child.

Another way to keep your child safe and still collect orders is to talk to family members and co-workers. Take your child's catalog and order form to work. Many times, you can collect orders that way. Another option is to ask family members to take it to their work as well.

These are only a couple of ideas to help your child collect orders for their school fundraiser and keep them safe. Be creative and you can probably come up with more. The possibilities are endless!
