The knife blade has a full tang, and the blade is made out of 3 cr 13 high grade stainless steel. Will not rust on you in moist or salt sea air environments. The steel offers serious hardness but also is not so hard as to chip easily when in use, and can endure hours of use with serious impact involved. The blade is heavy and thick, and holds up well to thick cutting and chopping jobs. The blade holds it’s edge for quite a duration, and does not need re sharpening so often. This tool easily cuts through one inch branches with just a single swing of the knife.
As for the grip, the handle is quite ergonomic, and melds to whatever hand is using it. The shape of the blade makes sure that the weight distribution is just right when delivering a chopping blow.
