I get this same question every week … “What time should I put on my wedding invitation for the start time of my Santa Barbara sunset beach wedding?” My professional opinion is about 2 hours before sunset.

A wedding photography session done on the splendid beaches of Santa Barbara when the sun is setting makes the sand turn a golden color and makes for beautiful and dramatic photos.  The sculpted sandstone mountains in combination with a painted colorful sky and palm trees add to the beauty.  This with a white dress makes sunset photographs on the beaches very popular and a favorite for newlyweds to take those romantic photos on their big day.To have the best Santa Barbara Sunset Wedding photos session check ahead for a day when the tide is low as the sun sets.  This will expose the beach and give your photographer plenty of room to work with.   If the tide is high on certain beaches such as butterfly beach,Sunset Wedding Photography Articles there is not much of a beach.  Some of the beaches handle a high tide well, for example East Beach.  Newlyweds can have lots of fun during such great evenings since apart from having their photos taken; they can have a chance to take a stroll down the beach and reflect on their big day. So if the sun is scheduled to set at 6:30 my schedule would look like this:4:30 – 5:00 ceremony5:30 – 5:15 post wedding breather5:15 – 5:45 family portraits and bridal party portraits5:45 - 6:15 bride groom portraits6:15 - 6:30 travel to receptionI don't normally suggest to take over 1 half hours for all form and portraits, because you are missing your wedding. So from the end of the ceremony to you arriving at the reception is generally around 1 hour. After the ceremony the wedding party and the Bride and Groom are ready to take a breather and get the reception started, so I don’t keep you waiting. The most favorite part of my job is capturing you in a natural state, sharing intimate moments together after the ceremony, guests congratulating you, candid photographs…Choosing Santa Barbara as the place to have your wedding is a great choices.  The memories will be treasured forever especially reviewing the photographs. The natural beauty of this city is what makes it perfect for any kind of wedding especially during the beautiful months of the year.  Photographs taken during a sunset are a pleasure to look at and you can relive the moments even years later. santa barbara wedding photography should be treated with utmost care so that you end up having the best of your long awaited big day and have lingering memories forever.
