Norfolk,Terry Slattery selected as 2007 Chairman of the National Supplier’s Council Articles VA—(January 17, 2007) – Terry Slattery, vice president and general manager of For Rent Media Solutions™, the leading apartment resource for searching apartment communities nationwide and a division of Dominion Enterprises, will serve as the 2007 chairman of the National Suppliers Council. Slattery last served as vice chair for the organization.

As the National Supplier’s Council chairman, he will co-chair the NAA Education Conference and Convention in Las Vegas and oversee the development of the National Suppliers Council. This is the highest level that a supplier can rise to in the multi-family industry. Slattery will also serve a one year term as a board member of the National Apartment Association.

Slattery joined For Rent Media Solutions in January of 1993 as an account executive in Las Vegas. Shortly after, he was promoted to an account manager in Tampa, FL.  In 1996, he became a general sales manager in Orlando, FL. and after serving in this position, was promoted to national marketing director before becoming vice president of marketing in 1997. In this role, Slattery was responsible for the product development and marketing departments. That same year, he headed up a group to begin ForRent.com®, the online version of For Rent Magazine®, now one of the nations most successful multi-family housing internet listing services. His team is also credited with the invention and execution of LEADS™, the original tracking service in the multi-family housing industry, now considered the standard in the industry.

In 2004, he was promoted to vice president of national sales and marketing. In this role, Slattery spent a great deal of time corresponding with the field offices and preparing new ideas and opportunities for For Rent Magazine. In July of 2006, Slattery was promoted once again to vice president and general manager of For Rent Media Solutions. In this position, he oversees all aspects of print, internet, production and operations for all magazine titles and websites, including: For Rent Magazine®, ForRent.com® Apartamentos Para Rentar™, and Senior Outlook™.
