Instead it is the main attraction and it is the one that mainly attracts your reader to check your documents further.
Take writing a letter enclosed with a resume as an example. Writing a good letter is to write a decent presentation of your working experience and your abilities that tells that you are suited for the job position. To be able to do this you must first know the requirements of the position and the abilities they need. Writing a good letter is important because it speaks for you. As they say “first impression usually last”, writing a good letter is like writing your winning application form.
The first step in writing is that you should be able to know the details about the company you are writing at. Research about what they need, and what are the requirements you need to present. In the start of the letter tell them why you are writing. Be specific. Tell the specific position you are applying and don’t forget to mention where did you learn from it.
Second thing, you should tell them why you fit for a certain position. Mention those characteristics that you have. Be sure that the characteristics you have mentioned are what they are looking for. You can prove to them that you are fitted for the position by giving an example about your past working experience.
You should also put in mind that you need to be positive in writing a cover letter. The letter should have a sense of confidence and professionalism.
Lastly, keep the cover letter brief. Put in mind that you only have a few minutes of the reader’s time. Be direct to the point. A three paragraph cover letter is good enough.
