CAT 2016 is one of the most awaited exam of the year. It is being conducted by IIM Bangalore this year. Here are all the details of the notification released for the exam.

Common Admission Test (CAT),CAT 2016 Notification Articles is considered to be one of the toughest MBA entrance exam in the country. It is the gateway to the prestigious IIMs. There are 19 Indian Institutes of Management (IIM) spread across the country. IIM- Calcutta is the first institute among the group of 19 to be established. It was established in 1961 along with IIM- Ahmedabad, which was established in the same year.

IIM- Ahmedabad is one of the best b- schools in the country. It offers post graduate diploma courses in management and agri- business management. Last year, IIM- Ahmedabad conducted CAT 2015 which came in with a lot of changes in the exam pattern and the selection procedure. This year, the CAT exam will be conducted by IIM Bangalore. A lot of changes in the exam pattern is expected this year as well. However, the official notification for CAT 2016 is not yet out.

The official notice of CAT exam states the exact time line of the registration and the exam along with the exam pattern and other necessary details of the exam. The opening and closing dates of the registration window and the exam date will be revealed in the notification. The notification is expected to be out by the end of July 2016.

Last year, the exam was held in a one day window in two slots. The exam pattern had completely changed. Earlier there were two sections, but last year there were three sections namely the Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning & Data Interpretation, and the Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension. All the three sections were time bounded. Candidates were allotted 60 minutes to solve each section. They cannot move on to the next section before 60 minutes even if they finished attempting all the questions in that section. One of the main new thing that was introduced last year was the subjective type questions. The subjective type questions were introduced in order to test the basic theoretical knowledge and the accuracy of the candidate. Candidates were provided with a scientific digital calculator as well which was present on the screen and could be used by the candidates while solving the subjective questions.
