CAT is the most sought after management entrance exam today and aspirants appearing for it are eagerly waiting to procure their admit cards. However, the date for availability of the admit cards has been extended by 6 days. Know how to download the cards on 24th October, 2016.

Amid a lot of updates on MBA entrance exams,CAT 2016 Admit Cards Availability Delayed! Articles the most recent one entailed the delay in the availability of CAT 2016 admit cards. Earlier, as per the schedule rolled out by the conducting body - Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore, the admit cards were supposed to be available for download on 18th October. Now, the cards will be issued on 24th October. 

Aspirants were ready and waiting to download their cards on Tuesday, but a morning update published by IIM Bangalore notified about the delay. The reason for the delay may be due to the highest number of registrations recorded this time and the extension of registration date by 5 days.

A candidate must make note of the below points to download his/her admit card:

- Visit the official website

- Click on the relevant link that mentions 'Download Admit Card'

- Submit the required details

- Take a print out of the admit card

CAT exam is scheduled to be held on 4th December and aspirants are wired to strike the ultimate balance between smart work and hard work. People who have aced the exam in the past suggest that one must solve maximum number of mock papers available on various sites and carry out a strategic preparation. 

A strategic preparation plan can comprise of:

- Carrying out section-wise study wherein aspirants can aim to perfect a set of topics on a daily basis.

- Working on the weak areas and revising the strong ones.

- Keeping a check on the time i.e. always solving time-based problems and sample papers.

- Not too much relying on the shortcuts and tricks taught by coaching institutes. It can lead to confusion while attempting question on the D-day.

- Learning from the tips and strategies given by toppers. Many websites publish interviews of CAT toppers entailing their experiences that help aspirants to ace the exam.

- Breaking the monotony by studying varied topics in a day. Like one could try solving Data Interpretation question and reading for Verbal Ability on a particular day.

- Lastly, candidates need to keep themselves calm and not get discouraged by the level of difficulty. If prepared well, anyone can score good in the exam.
