Of course, it is perfect idea to be on the latest Microsoft Dynamics GP version 11.0 (which is supposed to be released in April 2010). Well, you may say, that you had to stop your annual payments for Microsoft Business Solutions annual enhancement program long time ago, or you are on archaic version of Great Plains on Pervasive SQL, Btrieve or Ctree (7.5, 7.0, 6.0, 5.5, 5.0, 4.0 or earlier), or even on Great Plains Accounting for DOS, Windows or Macintosh.

And we understand that you had respected reasons to stick to your old Great Plains version and we do not question it - all the versions should be supportable and all the situations should be recoverable. This article is written in Great Plains Dynamics retro style.  Let's begin with the most historic and respected Corporate ERP application from Great Plains Software:
1. Great Plains Accounting for DOS,Dynamics GP, Great Plains Dynamics All Versions Support Service Articles Windows and Mac.  Well, if you are on this archaic system - we should give you special attention, as per our knowledge - nobody supports this small business ERP in the USA or Canada.  We have access to Great Plains Accounting Support Knowledge Base and plus we could apply our historical consulting experience in resolving the issues with GPA.  Again, we can only support legacy system, there is no way to obtain new GPA user licenses (as Microsoft Business Solutions discontinued support in earlier 2000, encouraging GPA customers to migrate to Great Plains Dynamics).  If you are still on GPA for Windows NT or Windows 2000 Server on Btrieve - we recommend you to migrate your Great Plains Accounting for DOS or Windows on Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 2007/2003 Server with Pervasive SQL.  If you think that you are ready to move on and upgrade to Microsoft Dynamics GP 11.0, there is migration path - please give us a call
2. Great Plains Dynamics on Pervasive SQL 2000, Ctree and Btrieve. Here we typically hear request on FRx reports design, data fixing (stuck batch), unlock user (you can ask all the users to log off and delete Activity.btr file to do the job).  If you are about to migrate from Pervasive SQL platform to Microsoft SQL Server (and open for your company upgrade path all the way up to Dynamics GP version 11.0)
3. Great Plains Dexterity customization upgrade.  Dex modifications were very popular in late 1990th and earlier 2000th (currently we see more interest in Dynamics GP eConnect programming, especially in eCommerce direction).  Dexterity add-ons are very efficient and seamlessly integrated into GP security realm, however they require version upgrade overhaul
4. Great Plains Integration Manager.  There is special path to upgrade IM from GP 9.0 to 10.0.  Plus with Dynamics GP 10.0 substantial portion of Dynamics GP integrations was redeployed on eConnect platform (where you should enjoy outstanding performance)
5. Migrating away from Microsoft Small Business Financials 7.5, 8.0, or 9.0.  We cannot stay behind the reasoning from Microsoft Business Solutions to abandon SBF Corporate ERP line of products (probably some competition with Microsoft Small Business Accounting).  Whatever it is - you will have to migrate to Microsoft Dynamics GP and the migration tool is available for Small Business Financials version 9.0 to Microsoft Dynamics GP 9.0, then you will need to upgrade to Dynamics GP 10.0
6. FRx Reporting for Great Plains Dynamics Microsoft Dynamics GP.  If you are on Dynamics GP version 8.0, 9.0 or 10.0 FRx upgrade is simple - you just need to apply current service pack to FRx 6.7
7. Great Plains Old Versions international support.  This is historical fact that Great Plains Software corporation tried to expand internationally - Europe, South Africa, South, Central America and Caribbean, Brazil, Russia, Australia and New Zealand, Oceania.  However with the acquisition of Navision Software (Navision and Axapta), Microsoft Business Solutions changed their plans and decided to stake on initially Navision and then on Axapta internationally (where AX supports Unicode characters: Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Tai, Vietnamese, Burma alphabets)
8. Dynamics GP eCommerce Support.  If you are in such countries as Paraguay, Bolivia, Venezuela, Haiti, Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, Honduras, Guatemala, Mexico, Bahamas, Bermuda, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Cayman Islands, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Martinique, Panama, we could place you into local USA based Dynamics GP ecommerce hosting server
9. Corporate ERP for Moscow Russian Federation.  We would like to recommend you SAP Business One as international ERP localized for Russian market or local product 1S Bukhgalteria.  Historically there were the versions of Great Plains Dynamics 4.0 available and localized for Russian Corporate ERP Market directly from Alba Spectrum (or its historical predecessor Sequoia Computers and Eucalyptus Systems in Russian Federation)
10. Microsoft Dynamics GP in Arabic World.  We already published numerous articles on Dynamics GP implementation in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Morocco, Libya, Sudan, Ethiopia, Angola, Yemen, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran, Algeria, Mali, Nigeria, Tunisia, Lebanon.  We are ready to demo you Arabic version of Dynamics GP at your discretion
11. SAP Business One.  This small Business Corporate ERP application is rising star in USA, Canada, Mexico, Caribbean, Oceania, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand
