Error Nuker Review — Is This Cleaner Too Expensive?

For the price you pay, is Error Nuker worth the money, or is it too expensive in comparison with similar programs? This review touches on a few of this program's features which may help the reader make this determination for himself. Error Nuker does do what it says it will do. Whether or not this is enough for the perspective buyer remains to be seen.

Designed and released by Trek Blue, Error Nuker weighs into the registry repair battle competition at a hefty $39.95 price tag. For that, you get an above average registry cleaner, while also receiving few extra frills. One of the extras it does contain is a Startup Manager, so that you can speed up the system boot process by eliminating little used or unnecessary programs from the start list. Though from all appearances in our tests, Error Nuker seems to error on the side of caution when it comes to finding and fixing registry problems.

One reason for this is that it relies on the Windows Registry Repair Algorithm (WRRA) to make sure that it doesn't remove a Windows registry key if there is a chance that it might hurt your system. It therefore comes as no surprise that of all the registry cleaners we looked at, it consistently found the fewest errors of the bunch on our test machine, kind of making its name ironic. Yet, it never failed to speed up the performance of our machine.

One plus about this product is that the purchaser will receive free program updates and customer support for the life of the product. It also allows for custom scans as well as automatic scans. It contains a Backup and Undo Manager just in case it eliminates a necessary registry entry. With its built-in Scheduler, you can schedule the program to scan your PC on a regular basis to ensure that you're always running at optimum performance.

If you are a hands on user, Error Nuker gives you only a vague description of the error location without granting direct access to the error so it may be altered or fixed. A key safety distinction lacking in this product is a severity ranking feature for the errors it finds; although, to be fair, this seems to be the case with several of the registry cleaners we looked at. The program can also be set up to retrieve automatic updates.

Overall, Error Nuker is an adequate program for finding and eliminating registry errors. You won't go wrong using this program on your machine. And while it contains some of the more popular auxiliary capabilities, you may find that for the priceFree Articles, you might have done better with another product.
