In this small publication we would like to stress pluses and minuses

1.       Great Plains Dexterity restrictions.  Great Plains Software Dex was designed in earlier 1990th under the strong influence of C and C++ programming languages,Great Plains International Consultant Newsflash: Dynamics GP implementation Articles where these constructions were widely regarded as panacea from such difficult dilemmas as computer operating system, and computer graphical platform: DOS, UNIX, PC, MAC to remind you the dilemma and the battlefield

2.       Great Plains localization.  Dynamics GP is good fit for English speaking countries.  Plus it is localized for Spanish speaking Latin America, Caribbean, Bermuda, Oceania.  Localization means local tax agency approval and facilitation of Government audit procedure: VAT, GST and Sales Taxes for example

3.       Unicode dilemma.  If your corporate headquarters or subsidiary is located in the country where local language requires Unicode: Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Thai, Mongolian, Burma, Laos, Indonesia, then you should take into consideration the fact that Dynamics GP Dexterity doesn’t support Unicode and in order to make your Great Plains to print your native language reports you will have to deploy such external tools as Crystal Reports, NG Stars, FRx web forecaster.  Please note that Arabic (Middle East market: Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Egypt, Oman, Yemen, Jordan, OAE) is localized and partially supported

4.       Dynamics AX or NAV.  Navision was the promotion for earlier 21st century, and now Axapta is the recommendation when you are engaged in International business

5.       Microsoft CRM.  This platform is translated to most of the languages and you should consider it first if your corporation is Microsoft oriented.  Microsoft CRM SDK allows you to program integrations with Dynamics GP, where you could deploy Great Plains eConnect to feed in objects to Great Plains

6.       Great Plains Dynamics GP in Russia.  If you have GP deployed in your headquarters, please know that Great Plains is not localized in Russia.  Consider to deploy either SAP Business One, Dynamics NAV or Dynamics AX in Russia to be integrated to your GP ERP in headquarters
