If you need new user licenses – you should be current in Annual Enhancement program,Great Plains Reseller with consultants in San Diego, Chicago, Houston provides Nationwide support Articles if you need to be reenrolled, you can give us a call or contact your current GP VAR of record. Alba Spectrum serves you locally in Chicago, Orange County, San Diego, Los Angeles, Houston and Dallas, plus we provide remote support from our centralized Great Plains Support Call Center and GP Dexterity Software Development Factory.  This publication is to give you some background on Alba Spectrum services and case studies:

1.       GP Initial Implementation.  We assume that you are in process of Corporate ERP Selection and need comparison chart, GP executive presentation and technical FAQ session.  Great Plains License cost is subject to change, so we encourage you to call us for getting current picture.  In the past licensing was divided into two lines: GP Professional and GP Standard, however at this time it is transition to Business Ready (where you have all-in-one licensing scenarios)

2.       GP custom development and Dex programming.  If you feel that you need customization and modification and out-of-the-box ERP will not cover your sort of unique business processes (and this is normal and respected), we think you should review existing GP add-ons and contact GP ISV partners, who develops and supports specific add-on to get full picture and clarity on how does it fit to your requirements.  If you think that there are no third party products to cover your needs, we are happy to develop custom add-on to cover the gap

3.       GP Integrations projects.  Current trend is to deploy eConnect SDK in challenging integrations, where you discovered that Great Plains Integration Manager module doesn’t do the job.  IM itself has OLE based connectors as well as new connectors, based on eConnect technology.  In some cases, especially when eConnect seems to be a bit heavy, we recommend light weight SQL stored procedures to provide simple integrations

4.       GP reports design.  Here we see two competing technologies: MS SQL Server Reporting Service and Crystal Reports.  In both scenarios, in our opinion, you should not utterly believe in report wizard to be all-mighty, but rather build report engine in SQL Stored Procedure or SQL View and use reporting tool for just report design (not data selection and manipulation)
