The use of keylogging equipment or software has enjoyed a bit of a negative reputation in the past. This is no doubt down to the plethora of hackers out there who use software versions in order to steal passwords and in general get up to no good. What most people fail to realise however,Who can benefit from USB Keyloggers? Articles is that there are a number of different reasons where the use of a Keylogger is justified. Let’s take a little look at them.

For the purposes of this article, I am going to discuss the use of a USB Keylogger. This is probably going to be of the most benefit to all of the people highlighted here. This is because it is completely undetectable, and requires absolutely no access to the computer system in order to activate the hardware.

One of the biggest groups that benefits from hardware keyloggers are employers. In fact, if your company mainly operates computers, and you want to boost production, this is probably one of the best investments you could ever make:

·          Monitor how productive your employees are. This includes whether they are carrying out unauthorised internet access, or simply getting on with the work that they are assigned. You will be surprised at just how much productivity increases when they know that they are being monitored.

·          Backup any text documents that are written for that day. Having them saved onto your USB Keylogger ensures that even if the system fails, you will still be able retrieve any of the work that was there. This could potentially save your company a lot of money in the long run.

·          Detect whether there has been any unauthorised access to your computer systems, or simply just to monitor computer usage.

Parents are also another big ‘target group’ for companies that sell Hardware Keyloggers. This is in part down to the fact that the internet is an even more dangerous place for children to lurk than it was in the past. Coupled with the fact that many children own their own computers, this means that monitoring their activity has become increasingly more difficult:

·          Monitor the computer activity. If you want your child to get a good education, then you need to know that they are actually working hard whenever they are on their computer. A USB Keylogger allows you to check whether they are working, or simply slacking off.

·          As mentioned previously, the internet is full of dangerous predators, and sometimes it is difficult to protect our children from them. A key logger will help keep a check on internet access, chat logs and even email. This will ensure that nothing is occurring which could result in them coming to harm.

The final group that could benefit from USB Keyloggers are Investigators. These people will generally use a hardware keylogger to monitor remote computers, or retrieve information that was previously unavailable to them. It also allows them to collect evidence related to the computer, incredibly useful if they believe a crime has been committed.

As you can see, these devices are quite clearly not designed for ‘improper use’, in fact, there are plenty of people out there that are using these for legitimate purposes day in and day out. If you feel that you could benefit from one, then do not hesitate to check out a company which offers them.
