Yes, finding love after 40 does present different types of challenges than when we were in our 20s. When you're on a blind date sitting across the table from a handsome guy who whines about his fourth divorce and you have to listen to how it's all her fault anyways and how in his opinion all women are inherently evil gold diggers. Or what about the woman who swears that all men are cheaters? Not fun!
There are still a lot of decent, great guys and gals who are single, available and looking for someone to love. Most cities have volunteer opportunities serving some philanthropic interest of the community. This is a great way to find men and women who are concerned with the well being of their own community. These individuals have a big heart and want to give back. There is a nurturing aspect to these men and women and you are bound to find a really great candidate here.

You may not be independently wealthy and would never think of participating in such functions as a donor. However, what about volunteering your time? Not only can you attend these charity benefits and functions for free as a volunteer, but you are able to meet some amazing men and women who want to contribute to society in a great way. A great way to meet people as a volunteer at these functions is to be a greater or cashier. Make yourself somewhere visible where you get a chance to meet all attendees.
