Electronic editions of books are becoming even more popular according to recent news reports. This is expected to have a significant impact on online book sellers such as Amazon.

Have you ever looked for Romance Books Online? If you did, you are not alone, as there are millions of other consumers who have turned to purchasing and downloading electronic versions of different kinds of books instead of buying paper based books. But what are the factors which are contributing to this rise in success of electronic media? And how much is the market for eBooks really worth? These are all questions that many individual consumers as well as online entrepreneurs are asking themselves.

Convenience is one of the main driving factors for the rise in sales of eBooks all over the internet. Consumers can find various types of books, like Romance Novels, self help books, cook books, mystery novels, etc. available online in a digital format. Another factor is that eReaders, such as the Amazon Kindle, have gotten much more affordable and functional in recent years. These devices look kind of like a small tablet PC, but are optimized to allow for the reading of electronic books, as well as documents. Their creation has filled one need in the market: to give consumers the ability to read electronic books while they are away from a computer. Not everyone wants to carry around their laptop with them whenever they want to read a book, and while mobile devices like the Apple iPhone and the RIM BlackBerry now support reading electronic books, their limited screen sizes make this quite inconvenient for many people.

Just how popular is the Kindle? Well, according to Mark Mahaney, an analyst from Citi, the device is going to account for 10% of Amazon's revenue for the 2012 year. According to estimates made by Mahaney, there will be 17.5 million Kindles being sold by Amazon in 2011, which will account for $2.1 billion in revenue. The sale of electronic books will also be significant in 2011 according to his estimates. He states that there will be an estimated 314 million eBooks sold by Amazon in 2011, which will bring in $1.7 billion in revenue. These figures will represent around 8% of Amazon's revenue for the 2011 year. But, according to Mark Mahaney, sales of Kindles and eBooks made for the device will grow even higher next year. According to his predictions, combined sales of the Kindle eReader device as well as eBooks by Amazon will reach $6.1 billion in 2012.

This is actually good news not only for consumers, who will have a lot more content to choose from, but for authors as well. For example, small authors who write romance or Erotic eBooks now have more chances of having their books made available to consumers as they will not have to face the restrictions that come with working with a traditional book publisher, but they can publish their works themselves.
