It's not entirely necessary to have the absolute most positive attitude on the planet to achieve internet success. However, a positive attitude to reach your goal is important. What's more important is what attitude NOT to have. These 4 attitudes listed below will absolutely guarantee internet business failure.

1 - I can work whenever I feel like it.

Unless you are independently wealthy, have a silver spoon so to speak and don't need money, or come from a background with no work ethic whatsoever, this attitude will destroy you in the internet or network marketing industry. For those individuals seeking an extra income online, my first comment is to define what network marketing actually is. That's right, they call it net'work' marketing for a reason.

Working on the internet for a full-time or even a part-time income requires daily, consistent work. Think of it kinda like a UPS courier. They get in their truck, deliver the packages for 8 hours per day. The truck does most of the work, you just have to navigate. Some way on the internet. Your website and products will do most of the heavy lifting, but you have to put in the work. Maybe not 8 hours per day, but work nonetheless.

2 - I can get rick quick.

This is the pre-dominant thought for those that do not make a living on the internet. They work a full-time job elsewhere, see some type of get rich quick ad online, join the team or buy the product, fail to make any money in a short time, then they quit. I see this over and over. As a matter of fact, there are those that provide products or opportunites preying on the internet 'newbies'.

What advice I offer if you have never made a dime online is simply 'BEWARE'. If you have the get rich quick mindset you will be the next victim. If anyone ever tells you that you are going to get rich quick, then run away as far and as fast as you can. Internet marketing is not get rich quick.

3 - When I have an internet business, you don't have a boss.

To a certain extent this may be true. However, never forget that you are the boss. What I mean here is that you have to be accountable to yourself, or your family or your spouse or significant other. Being the boss means exactly what any boss is. They are disciplined, business minded, sets realistic and attainable goals, and follows through with the desired outcome. Be the best boss you can be.

4 - I don't need a business plan.

Once again, lose this mindset. Having an internet business is just like any other brick and mortar business. All successful businesses online or offline have a plan. Your online plan should include how to grow your internet business with a well thought out marketing plan. Your business and marketing plan requires considerable thought, time, and effort. The way you carry out your plan will have a major impact on your business.

If you have any other the 4 mindsets about your internet business lose them fast. And more importantly don't give up, don't ever give up. You may have to make adjustments and changes as you go, but don't quit.
