You hear about it all the time. The big guys in internet marketing send out an email and make enough money to go on a one-month vacation.

That secret weapon is a buyer list.

Most people believe that a large mailing list is the secret to big money. It really is not. What counts is the quality of the people on your list. This means that they are likely to buy when you send out an email.

As you can see, if they aren't buyers, it doesn't matter how many people you have on your list. No buyers, means you get no business.

The real "secret" to making money online is having a list populated with people who are willing to hand over the money when you show them a great opportunity. Certainly, they won't buy each offer you have, but they will purchase those items that make sense to them. It isn't more complex than that.

The problem most people in internet marketing run into is not knowing how to build a list of buyers. You can add people to your list, and get a big list, but subscribers are not necessarily buyers. Will they buy? Probably only 1 to 2% will.

I guess that is not too bad if you have a gigantic list, but what would happen if you have a list of 3000 people and 10% of them bought. Now we're talking about 300 sales.

Which would you think is easier...getting 30,000 people on your list and hoping 1% buy or would you rather have a list of 3000 buyers, who buy when you send out an email?

Believe it or not, it is actually easier to get 3000 buyers than it is to get the larger list. Actually, most people with very large lists don't even get the 1 to 2% response. That means they have to have a list of about 500,000 people to get a reasonable number of sales.

Quality counts for more than quantity as it does in most things. Certainly this is true when it comes to mailing lists. Focus on getting buyers to join and you will be much better off. Eventually, you will have six-figure sales to brag about.
