Sarees are the traditional wear of women in most of the parts of our country. The traditional saree of each region and state in our country vary immensely according to the culture and history of that place.

Sarees have been a part of our culture for centuries,Traditional sarees, the trade mark of Indian women Articles and it’s well known that Indian woman looks best in traditional sarees. Though the evolution of sarees have taken place and there new innovative ideas that are incorporated in the saree world frequently, women still treasure their age-old sarees with the traditional designs, material, and color.

How many of you have felt overwhelmed seeing a thirty-year-old of your mom’s or a fifty-year-old saree of your grandma’s? This is the magic that these sarees have around them. They are enigmatic, classy and very attractive. The traditional designs in these sarees make them look authentic and rich.

Every region and every community in our country have their traditional dress. Though sarees are famous throughout our country, it mostly has its presence felt in the South and East India. Salwars and other dresses entered the south Indian market only a few decades ago, but saree has been into existence from the Vedic age. South India especially Tamil Nadu is very famous for its silk sarees. Kanjeevaram is the silk house for the entire country, and women love these sarees throughout the country.  They are magnificent in looks, texture, and quality. They are excellently designed by weavers who have been in this profession for generations. Most of the designs in these sarees consist of temple designs and bhuttas. They are super gorgeous, and no wedding in Tamil Nadu takes place without women flaunting these sarees.

The Mundu or the traditional white and gold saree is very famous in Kerala and women all over the state wear that saree. These sarees are especially worn for festivals and other celebrations. Similarly, Mysore silk and Bangalore silk are very fam0ous in Karnataka while Pochappali is famous in Andhra.

Most of the North Indian loves their Banaras sarees that are authentically woven by weavers from a small village called Banaras on the banks of river Ganga. Further, West Bengal is a very famous destination for women clad in beautiful cotton sarees. These sarees are extremely soft, stiff and beautiful. The Bengali cotton is one material that every woman goes crazy about. They are best suited for office use or events.

Sarees are an integral part of our culture, and it is important for us to take our culture forward without modifying it too much, for the generations to come. Shopping for traditional sarees online is the best way to maintain this culture even if we are in places where we cannot go out to shop for buying these beauties. Maintain the elegance and ethnicity we have been blessed with as Indians and carry them forward with grace and respect.
