There could be several reasons for the return of goods, some of them is product needs to be repaired, replaced, or wrong product sent.

In this case the customer is liable to receive a refund for the product from the seller if it is still under warranty.
 
It is important for dropshippers and resellers to know about RMA, since customer can send back goods that are damaged on use and is still under warranty.

OR..  Customers can even send back products and items if they have been damaged in transit or there are a few production faults.

Dropshippers and resellers need to know about RMA so that they can either arrange for the crediting of the products amount, or they can repair the product. In most cases the product is sent to the warehouse, while the customer gets a fresh new item. Incase the items cannot be repaired; the reseller will have to credit the amount.

What do you need to do in case of RMA?

-Normally in case of an RMA, the customer will have to put in the RMA number this is necessary so that the supplier can send it back after repairs or refund you if repairs are not possible.
-The dropshipper is the point of contact in the loop, so that they give the best customer service experience.
-The dropshipper in case of an RMA gets details along with pictures of the product in case of physical damage, and every detail is recorded.
-In most cases, issues can be resolved by email and customers don’t even have to return the product.
-Incase the products need to be sent to the reseller then the RMA number along with the shipping address needs to be posted.
-Products first land at the nearest dropshipper, and after getting in all necessary details these are then sent out to the reseller for repairs or refunds.

A few important steps you need to be wary off before an RMA is

-Make sure that the RMA number is posted
-Pictures of physical damage and proper details should be supplied to the dropshipper, so that the reseller has every detail to the item.
-Shipping address details should be attached along with the item.
-Before you send the product to the dropshipper who inturn sends it to the reseller, make sure that you contact the support email address as most issues are solved over email.
-It is imperative that the products are given to the dropshipper and not to the reseller. This is because dropshippers are a point of contact and the customer does not need to know who the reseller is. These are policies as termed in the warrant agreement whereby the customer need not know the reseller, because the reseller only deals with the dropshipper.
-This is important so that the relationship between the customer and the dropshipper is maintained and the customer gets back to the dropshipper in case they want to purchase any other products.
