We all want to protect our jaan se bhi pyaara phones and we do all kinds of antics to make sure that our baby remains safe and secure. The market is flooded with a whole lot of products ranging from screen guards,How using the wrong phone cases can actually harm your phone. Articles gorilla glass, heat tampered glass, bumpers, designer phone cases made of polycarbonate plastic, silicon cases, transparent cases and what not!

But did you know that choosing the wrong product may end up damaging your phone? The biggest enemy of our phones is the heat it generates. Processors and the batteries in our phone tend to heat up with use and while charging. The older the phone gets, more is its tendency to heat up. By using the incorrect phone cases, the heat generated by the processor does not dissipate fast enough and leads to overheating. This can lead to permanent discoloration of the screen, or even melting of small components on the circuit board. Basically your phone can get pretty screwed by the extra heat.

We recommend using plastic phone cases, which leave a small gap between the phone and the case. This small gap not only acts as an air cushion during falls but also makes sure that there is enough air circulation for heat dissipation. There are a lot of designer iphone 6 cases made of polycarbonate plastic available online. These are not be very sturdy and might not be able to take a big fall, but they are good enough for daily use and small falls, scratches and bumps.

Silicone cases are the worst to use because they cover the phone from all sides and do not let the heat escape.  However, these offer better protection from falls on hard surfaces. If you are using a silicone case, we recommend removing the case while charging the phone.
