Or being able to get to know live news from some other part of the world miles and miles away from you? Similarly it was not imaginable to think of procuring things from the comfort of your home with just a couple of clicks on the mouse button. However,The PepperFry scam seems to be a figment of someone’s imagination Articles these things are very much possible in today’s age, thanks to the invention of the internet. The internet is considered to be the biggest invention after the wheel because it has connected the world in a phenomenal way and made it a global village.

Owing to the internet, the boon of online shopping was invented and fast made its impact all over the world. Although Indians are still not totally comfortable with the idea of online shopping due to misconceptions regarding the quality of the goods delivered and hidden charges, they are fast latching onto this beneficial trend. Previously there were only foreign based web portals to shop from but recently, several Indian companies have set up online shops too such as PepperFry which was founded in July 2011 and launched in January last year by 2 ex employees of eBay.

Seeing the benefits that online shopping has, rumors like those regarding the PepperFry scam, seem fake and just what they are described to be- a rumor. The PepperFry scam news has no basis in authenticity and shoppers are well aware of this for it hasn’t deterred them from indulging in online shopping. Indians are yet to warm up to the idea of buying goods via the internet but as people are getting increasingly tech savvy, not only in urban areas, but also in the rural areas, this trend seems to be catching up at a fast rate. Although youngsters and working professionals are the main users of such web portals like PepperFry, senior citizens and housewives can actually benefit greatly too.

Senior citizens don’t need to get inconvenienced by getting pushed around in crowded shopping areas like malls or markets. Similarly, housewives can save a lot of time and energy by eliminating the need to go out in searing heat or erratic rains and get loaded with heavy bags. Online shopping provides what everyone wants; to be able to do things from the comfort of their homes. Not only can people work and learn from home, they can also shop a whole house of articles while sitting on the couch with their tablet, laptop or smart phone.

Since many shops are in crowded areas with bottleneck streets, the nuisance of parking is an irritant for shoppers. Also, many shops in India still don’t accept plastic cards as a form of payment and demand bundles of notes. Neither does one need to worry about parking space nor do they have to take the risk of carrying their precious money around if they make use of online shopping which truly seems to be a boon in today’s day and age.
