Frequently, alternative healing colleges will also present comprehensive courses of study in Oriental medicine, naturopathic medicine, holistic health, chiropractic, osteopathy, and complementary and integrative medicine.

Find Alternative Healing Colleges in the United States and Canada. Prospective students who are intrigued by natural health concepts and therapies will find that there are several alternative healing colleges that provide a wide assortment of natural and alternative healing programs that are geared toward certification, diplomas or degrees.

For example, a number of alternative healing colleges frequently afford practical and classroom training in massage therapy, as well as homeopathy and herbology.  Other alternative healing colleges may extend courses in aromatherapy, acupressure and animal acupressure, Chinese herbal medicine, Reiki, reflexology, integrative health and wellness, and a variety of other relative areas of study.

In many cases, alternative healing colleges will provide educational programs that result in certificates; for instance, students who desire to earn certification in massage therapy will find that many alternative healing colleges offer in-depth training in an assortment of massage modalities (Swedish, Sports, Deep Tissue, etc.), and upon successful completion, students will receive a certificate or diploma of completion.  While each state varies in educational requirements, it is always best to review a number of alternative healing colleges to find the one that provides mandatory and quality class hours.

Frequently, alternative healing colleges will also present comprehensive courses of study in Oriental medicine, naturopathic medicine, holistic health, chiropractic, osteopathy, and complementary and integrative medicine. Students who engage in these more advanced curriculums will find that these academic programs may lead to degrees in natural healthcare.  As an example, a number of alternative healing colleges providing curriculums in osteopathic medicine may afford students with Bachelors and Masters of Osteopathic Medicine.

While all alternative healing colleges vary in independent curriculums, prospective students should review course offerings, and determine if the specific natural healing school provides the particular course of study s/he is pursuing.
