As the reports say, students that have completed MBBS from Abroad can now practice in India without any exam or test. The present law in action states that Indian students are allowed to study MBBS abroad from any recognized medical university.
But for that to happen, students have to clear a screening test before practicing medicine in the Indian subcontinent. Recently the position of the government is changing, and the new stand of the government is that doctors should be allowed to practice without any exam. Clinical Practice
one can always start his/her clinic at any point of time after completing the degree from Abroad. With a little investment, one can start his/her clinic, but this usually requires a little time for the clinic to start running well and earn profitable business for the doctor. Most of the graduates seek jobs where they start getting paid from the very beginning. The clinical Practice can either be for the Government Sector or the Private Sector. For the Government Sector, the doctors working are appointed on a contract basis or for a full time depending upon the requirement. The candidates appearing for the post are supposed to clear the entrance procedure and get selected for the post which is comparatively more difficult than getting a job at Private Hospitals. In the Private Sector, doctors are appointed in Corporate Hospitals. Hospitals earn good money, and so do the doctors working there, but the doctors are mostly overburdened with work.
Going for Specialty
after one is over with MBBS from Abroad, they can go for further studies by getting a postgraduate degree from good institutes. The seats are usually significantly less, so it is challenging to get selections, or sometimes they might not get subjects of their choice. Under such circumstances, the students can either leave their seats or get along with the subjects they are offered; most of the students give in and accept their fate. As has been stated earlier, getting selected for the Postgraduate program is a difficult job which is why they take a break for a year or two to prepare for the entrance tests. Hospital Management
after completing the MBBS from Abroad, the students have a choice of Masters in Hospital Management (MHA). This sector is picking up fast in the present time because the corporate sectors are building the hospitals and are making the investment in the business. Still, we don’t have enough people who understand the medicine and also management skills which make it for the business. The sector is rapidly growing as the demand is yet to be fulfilled with the hospital management staff. And not to forget the job pays good money to the ones employed in this field.
United States Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE)
if the person has already completed his/her MBBS from Abroad, then it will be really easy for them to continue their stay abroad. Countries such as the USA offer much more in terms of educational facilities there than in India. The USMLE is a step procedural exam for the students who want to study in the USA after completing their MBBS from Abroad. However, it is an expensive course so you might want to clarify your financial position before considering this option.
