CAT 2015 came in with a lot of surprise. The entire exam pattern was changed. There were three sections namely Quantitative Aptitude,CAT Exam Pattern Articles Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation, and Verbal Aptitude. There was sectional time obligation and the total time for the exam increased from 170 minutes to 180 minutes. Also, One could not scroll in between the sections. The most unimagined change that was introduced was the introduction of subjective type questions where one had to type in the answer. There was a calculator provided in these questions so that the calculations required can be easily done.

The test was held in a one day exam window and in two slots. The woman candidates were given options to choose their own exam city. This was done in order to give importance to their presence at the test center. Moreover, the candidates could select their own choice of combination of the sections. Via the combinations they could choose which section they want to attempt first and which section as the last one.

This year as well, a lot of changes are expected. Many Candidates have requested IIM Bangalore, who is conducting the exam this year, to conduct it in a two day exam window. The main reason could be that one day CAT exam could be binding on many counts. There has been no response from the authorities of IIM Bangalore or any of the CAT 2016 committee members. This year it is expected that the CAT 2016 will be even more surprising. The changes will make the exam even more glorifying with more innovative and higher standard of testing. Hence, we expect the exam pattern to change again this year. Candidates are hoping that there is no sectional time obligation this year as candidates were not really happy with that last year.

There will not be any kind of facility of offline application form. The registration process will be made online. Candidates have to fill in the registration form and make the payment as well. The admit cards will also be made available online. Candidates will have to download the admit card themselves. No hard copy of the same will be available.
