GATE Examination Details

GATE Examination Details

This competitive exam consists of a single paper containing 65 questions. The question paper carrying maximum 100 marks and it is of three hour duration.  The question paper has objective type questions with multiple options. There are four choices in each question.  You need to choose the right choice. It also involves negative marking means every wrong answer will minus your numbers.

After the successful completion of GATE, candidates can further go ahead with their studies and can even apply M.tech in leading institutes. You need to fill up the application form which you can get by visiting the institute itself. Some institutes even advertise in newspapers about the applications form and other important details about the exam. You need to clear the entrance test to get the admission. If you score above 85%, than you can apply for the leading institutes to do M.Tech otherwise you should search for the institutes that accept admissions even if you score lower in your GATE.
