Get a Headstart on Beginner French with These Easy French Words

It's always been your dream to learn French.  Unfortunately, learning a language isn't always as easy as we wish it could be.  I know, because I've been there.  I had always heard French was the easiest language to learn.  Well, whoever told me that was wrong!  There are definitely some parts of the French language that are easier than others, but it does take a little bit of training and a little dedicated study to learn beginner French.

However, even if French isn't the easiest language, it's definitely the most fun language to learn.  Here's some beginner French words you can start using in your daily vocabulary right away to impress your family, your friends, teachers, and potential dates.

Days of the Week:

Lundi = Monday

Mardi = Tuesday

Mercredi = Wednesday

Jeudi = Thursday

Vendredi = Friday

Samedi = Saturday

Dimanche = Sunday

Months of the Year:

Janvier = January

Fevrier = February

Mars = March

Avril = April

Mai = May

Jeune = June

Juillet = July

Aout = August

Septembre = September

Octobre = October

Novembre = November

Decembre = December

See how easy some of these words are?  Half of them seem to be almost exact duplicates of their English counterparts.  In fact, many of our own English language stems from roots in the French language.  Expressions like "deja-vu" and "c'est la vie" are terms we use all the time. 

So in the end, French isn't really so hard.  The number one key to success at learning beginner French is to listen to audio CD's by real French speakers or French experts.  This way, you'll adopt a perfect French accent as well as proper French grammar.
