According to January 2020 reports, massive bushfires produce harmful and poisonous smoke which can cause fatalities for foreign students. Students who accommodateclose to fire regions can face health related risks as the air contains a mixture of hazardous particles and gases. These can irritate the eyes and cause problems to respiratory system. The WHO Report indicated that, the impact of smoke inhalation and exposure can cause serious disorders including asthma, bronchitis and irritation to eyes. These problems can raise huge problems for the local as well as foreign students of these regions. As students may suffer from chronic diseases and illnesses, universities have decided to run health monitoring programs.
