Portable Spas: Getting the Best Deal on Spas and Hot TubsThis article discusses buying spas and hot tubs and how you can get the best deal on portable spas online. Portable spas are becoming very hot properties. What, with prices coming down, they’re affordable for everyone. In fact, spas and hot tubs can be found at terrific prices on the Internet because retailers are often offering them at “factory direct” pricing. The thing you don’t want to do is go to a showroom or dealer to portable spas. Sure, you can go and check out brands, sizes, number of jets, etc. And you’ll probably be allowed to take a “test drive” to see how you like the number of jets, where they are positioned and so forth. But just as you would at a car dealership, you’ll be pressured into buying. I mean, PRESSURED. The salesperson will follow you around, pestering you with questions, inane conversation and useless information, all to gain your “trust.” Even if you say you are just browsing, he will pester you senselessly. After all, how many people are just window shopping for spas and hot tubs? The salesperson knows you are serious about a purchase and will do anything to get your approval. He might show you the price, especially after your test drive, and then you will be astonished! So you’ll try to make a counter-offer, which is known as haggling. This is something many Americans don’t do very well and are often even afraid to do so. But you should haggle – after all, you need the best price possible if you are going to get a decent deal on your spas and hot tubs. He’ll probably take the offer, tell you he has to ask his manager, and then come back with another counteroffer. This could go on forever, much as it does when you’re buying a car (although, granted, many car dealerships offer straight up pricing, with no haggling needed). Still, shopping for portable spas is difficult at a showroom. If you’ve gone to a showroom and are sick of the ridiculous goings-on, just walk out. You have every right to do so. The salesperson will probably run out after you with a final offer. Who knows – it might be decent. But should you decide to go back in and talk about it, try to make them give you free upgrades on your spas and hot tubs. For example, make sure you get an ozonator and maybe even some sort of entertainment system, be it a marine grade stereo, a TV or a TV/DVD combo for your spas and hot tubs. This way, you’ll have everything you need to have portable spas ready for partying or romance. However, you can and will get a better deal on the Internet, no matter how low the price drops at the dealer. That’s because you will have to pay sales tax and delivery fees on your spas and hot tubs. This can run into thousands of dollars. And the showroom has to pay the distributor/manufacturer, so the markup is high. As stated earlier, the best thing to do is leave the showroom and buy portable spas online. Most companies have a “no haggle” policy which makes it easy for you to get spas and hot tubs at the lowest prices. Here, the e-commerce site selling the products has a direct relationship with the manufacturer, so you won’t have to pay a cent on sales tax or to have your portable spas shipped directly to you. You can do a search for the spas and hot tubs you liked at the dealer, find an online retailer, and phone the company up. More than likely, the salesperson here will not only not be pushy, but will also know everything there is to know about the portable spas you at which you are looking. She’ll know whether it is the right size for your needs, where you can best put it, what upgrades you’ll definitely need and more. And you won’t have to pay those middlemen. So the next time you are looking to buy portable spas, take
a trip to a showroom – but never buy there. Instead Article Tags: Portable Spas Source: Free Articles from ArticlesFactory.com
