Schools of Homeopathic Medicine

"Though the practice declined in the mid 1900's, the renewed interest in alternative and complementary medicine has sparked a growing demand for health alternatives like homeopathy..."

Whether you're a professional medical provider or a student fresh out of college, enrolling in any one of the schools of homeopathic medicine can certainly improve your range of healthcare services.  Having the knowledge and training to offer natural healthcare remedies from animal, mineral and plant sources, homeopathic practitioners believe in healing the "whole" person and do not merely treat dis-ease.

Though the practice declined in the mid 1900's, the renewed interest in alternative and complementary medicine has sparked a growing demand for health alternatives like homeopathy.  So after you've explored the field and you've decided to acquire comprehensive training at one of the growing number of schools of homeopathic medicine, be prepared to commit three to four years to achieve your certification in homeopathy.

Earning a degree from your local college or university is recommended. As with most medical programs, schools of homeopathic medicine typically require prerequisite education from an accredited college or university.

First-year studies at schools of homeopathic medicine include in-depth training in anatomy, physiology, principles and philosophies of homeopathy, acute therapeutics (homeopathy in first-aid), Materia Medica, and repertory (index of symptoms and associated remedies), among others.

The second year of instruction at schools of homeopathic medicine offer advanced studies in the philosophy of homeopathy, Materia Medica, pathology, and clinical training.

Students who are in their third (and often final) year at schools of homeopathic medicine gain more advanced clinical training, as well as in-depth education in medical sciences, case management, therapeutics, practice management, and more.  Upon successful completion, graduates receive certification and may work in fields of medical research, teaching, or as professional practitioners.

If you (or someone you know) are interested in learning more about this or other alternative medicine programs, let professional training within fast-growing industries like massage therapy, naturopathy, acupuncture, oriental medicine, Reiki, and others get you started! Explore schools of homeopathic medicine near you.
