SSC CGL Tier 1 results are tentative to be declared either on October 25 or latest by October 31, 2017. The candidates can refer to more updates on result and selection procedure on the SSC Official website.

As per the release of an official notification, the tentative result date if set on October 31,2017. The SSC CGL Result can be released earlier than the given date. A lot of sources have insisted that SSC CGL Result might release as early as October 25, 2017.           

Candidates should also note that there is no change in the official notification as such. Previously, SSC has been releasing results 2 or 5 days ahead of the date that was given. The results might also emerge to be declared sooner. Candidates should ideally be checking the website for latest updates concerning the same.

The steps to check SSC CGL Tier 1 results have been detailed as follows:

  1. The SSC CGL Official website would need to be visited.
  2. The Notices tab is required to be visited by the student.
  3. The heading relevant for CGL can be selected.
  4. The latest updates associated with the same and other news can be checked here.

The result updates on the page shall also be made available from time to time for the candidate. Candidates should be checking the website on a regular basis. SSC or Staff Selection Commission had conducted the Tier 1 examination from August 5 to 23, 2017. About 15.4 Lakh candidates had given the exam this year. The SSC CGL Answer Keys were released in the month of September and the results of the same are expected to be out in this week or by October 31, 2017.

SSC CGL is one of the important exams among the fresh graduates in India. A candidate preparing for SSC CGL would have a lot of questions in their mind regarding details of exam like eligibility criteria, exam pattern and syllabus of SSC CGL Examination.

SSC CGL Exam Tier 1 and Tier 2 would be conducted in the online mode. About 4700+ vacancies would be filled through the SSC CGL Examination. The SSC CGL Examination is conducted for the purpose of recruitment of non-technical Group B and Group C across a lot of ministries.  The SSC CGL Examination is conducted in 4 tiers. The initial two would be conducted in an online mode while the final two would be conducted in an offline mode. Out of the 15.4 Lakh candidates who have given the exam only 2 lakh candidates would qualify the SSC CGL Examination.

SSC CGL Cutoff is the minimum marks that a candidate must score in order to be eligible for the further selection procedure. Candidates clearing Stage 1 would only be eligible for Stage 2 examination. A few highlights of SSC CGL Examination is mentioned as below:

  • The age of the candidates calculated earlier on 1 January would now be calculated on 1 August, 2017.
  • The marks secured in Tier 1 would be used for purpose of determining the selection of candidates in Tier 2.
  • The exam is conducted across for 4000 vacancies belonging to Group B posts.
