University Ranking Information:-Leicester is ranked joint 16th among all UK universities and joint 151st in the world by the Shanghai Jiao Tong University League Table. It is one of only 21 UK universities to feature in the world top 200 universities.-It is ranked in14th place by both the Times Good University Guide and the Guardian University Guide 2009.-The university was shortlisted for the award of the University of The Year by the Times Higher Education Supplement in 2005 and 2006.
