There is no denying for the importance of management practices in our lives since beginning. The history stretches back to the time right from when the evolution of human being was on the rise. We needed management at that time too and we also needed it today although the faces of management practices have varied widely.

Today we need management in each and every aspect of our lives that not only includes the huge tasks requiring specialized skills for accomplishment but also includes the usual daily life Activities that we don’t consider important enough to be given that much amounting of Focus and time. Management is vital for a person to live happy and balanced life as there are lots of aspects related to each and every person’s life today including professional, personal attributes of someone’s life that have their own importance and require definite amount of time to be carried along comfortably.

Management is the organizational process that includes strategic planning and setting the   objectives, managing resources and deploying the human and financial assets needed to achieve objectives. It is followed by measuring the results and stabilizing them according to predefined parameters called objectives of the task. Management functions are not limited to managers and supervisors and they also include recording and storing facts and information important for the firm for later use within the organization.

 

The above stated definition of the management is quite Interesting as it is tailored toward business management. There are three Basic activities according to this definition. Firstly, management establishes a plan that becomes the road map for achieving the objectives of the work. Secondly, resources are allocated to implement the plan. And lastly, the results are measured to see how much the end product resembles the Envisioned results and appropriate actions are taken to Stabilize and differences are minimized.

 

Thus management is set of wide practices that Ensures smooth Functioning of an organization.
