It is not that easy to find a job in the state school. The international schools in the big cities offer a host of opportunities for the TEFL teachers. The salaries offered by these schools are comparable to those given in the public schools. If you are to teach the wealthy Vietnam children or expats, you will certainly need a few years of experience. However, you will have certain advantages like an assured career growth and perks like airfare reimbursement and housing allowance.

It is always wise to do a good amount of research about the different schools, the roles they provide and the salaries they offer. Also be careful to consider the demands of the job role to see how suitable they are for you. Depending on your lifestyle, preferences, what you wish to do in Vietnam and others, you will have to weigh the opportunities in front of you.
