However,World Popular Languages Articles most of them are spoken by only a few people, do not have written forms (alphabets) and nobody can understand them except these few native speakers. The choice of languages which could develop themselves and gain international population and recognition has been made due to historical facts of definite nations speaking these languages. Most internationally spoken and recognized languages belonged to the nations which conquered and discovered new lands and, therefore could play a definite role in and make great influence on other nations and the world history. Nowadays there are about two hundred and fifty such languages. They were chosen by the number of people speaking them, that is more than one million. Of course, among these languages there are leading ones which are spoken not only by native speakers but many non-natives throughout the world. They are English, Spanish, French, German, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, Russian and some others. This list of languages are used in almost all spheres of human life especially tourism and business because these spheres require meeting different people and understanding among them is very important. So such languages are taught at schools, so as citizens can easily use them in their daily life.

The popularity of the languages listed above is caused by their nations active historical involvement in the world history. Most of them were engaged in the world wars, discoveries and trade. Some of them had colonies throughout the world and had spread their languages among hundreds of other nations. The largest colonists and world traders were the British, the Spansih and the French.
