How to configure Hotmail SMTP settings for iPad?

Hotmail is one of the most secured email clients for the tranformation of data and information through emails. Hotmail POP and IMAP servers refer to the incoming servers and downloads messages from the Hotmail servers. SMTP servers are outgoing servers and it allows it to send emails through the Hotmail accounts. Hotmail customer service provides the best assistance for the email setting issues for the iPad. To configure the Hotmail that supports IMAP and SMTP, use the following settings:

Incoming (IMAP) Server

Server address: imap-mail.outlook.com

Port: 993

Encrypted Connection: SSL

Outgoing (SMTP) Server

Server address: smtp-mail.outlook.com

Port: 25 (or 587 if 25 is blocked)

Authentication: Yes

Encrypted Connection: TLS

User Name: Hotmail email address.

Password: Hotmail password.

How to enable Hotmail SMTP access in iPad?

Configure the SMTP settings to deliver the emails and work on iPad mail clients. While using the SMTP server with Hotmail account, change the configuration every time the internet connection is changed. 

Follow the steps for incorporating the SMTP server for your iPad:

• Tap "Settings" and then select "Mail, Contacts, Calendars".
• Select Hotmail from the list of email clients.
• Now under "Outgoing Mail Server" tap "SMTP".
• Next click on "Add Server..." and as the window appears enter the following details: 

Host Name: hotmail-smtp.com

User Name: hotmail email address

Password: hotmail password

Now the iPad verifies the SMTP details automatically. Now select the Primary server and enter the details:

Server: ON

Use SSL: Off (unless the SSL mode of the SMTP server is enabled)

Authentication: Tap it and select "Password". Enter the password.

Server Port: Defalut port is 25

Once all the details are entered successfully, tap "Done".

Dial the Hotmail support number if the user is finding diffculty in incorporating the settings. Support team will remotely access the email settings problem and resolve the issue.
