The Indian television has always been thriving on humor shows. Within five years it gave neck to neck competition to the Indian GEC's which undoubtedly was a great achievement for any niche channel in the history of Indian Television. The most commendable factor had to be the absence of any remakes or repeat broadcast of previously popular shows. All of this achieved at a comparatively cheaper price with efficiency reflecting through the results, thus successfully keeping the Hindi comedy alive.

The other mark of obtaining the best of the comedy videos today is of course the series of DVD's available in the market. This trend too arrived not too long ago, but gained its own set of popularity and profits. Popular television series are sold in VCD's, thus reviving the old content. Hum Log, Tamas, Mahabharat, Buniyaad, Ramayan, Fauji have already made it to the list of released series, available in major cities and leading bookstores.
