If you are going to be putting your car through the paces of a Grand Prix racer then you want a car designed for that kind of racing. On the other hand if you are interested in dirt roads and mud flats then you want an RC truck possibly a 4 wheel drive. Decide what you want to do with your remote control car or truck before you buy one.

Some cars run on their own rechargeable built in battery while others require separate batteries. Sometimes it can be beneficial to have a remote control car that you charge from a wall outlet or a power outlet in your vehicle. Once you charge your car you can get back on the road again. Some people prefer to exchange batteries when the old ones are depleted. This seems to be a faster option.Decide what your preference is prior to purchasing your remote control car.

Something else you may want to consider is how you want to use the car. If you're planning on putting your RC car or truck through some rough courses I think you should really give it some thought about what you're looking for. Do you want to pay more money and purchase a stronger more durable RC car or truck so it will last longer during the hard paces you will be putting it through. Of course you could pay less and buy a more disposable model. You have to give this some thought.

You also have to give it some thought about what your needs will be when it comes to what range you want. If you are going to be off road where you follow your truck fairly close you will not need a lot of range. On the other hand of you are racing on a track where you will be sitting in one place you will need more range. Think about that when you make your purchase.

When you are looking for a hobby that will allow you to have some real fun Just figure out what kind of car you are most interested in and consider what activities you are most likely to enjoy. Remember you must choose the right RC truck or car for your hobby needs. It may take sometime before you really decide what type of RC vehicle you may want to purchase. What ever you choose I'm sure you will have years of enjoyment.

I was born in 1938 in Oakland Ca. The toys we had was a lot different then the toys children have today. We never had radio controlled toys of any kind.
