DonTalk is founded by Prolog Inc. which is a chat based application. Initially this was developed for web and then it has been developed on multi-platforms. Now this app is available on iPhone, BlackBerry, Android, and Palm. Thinking on the demand of the app, Prolog Inc, has developed this app for the iPad users.
DonTalk is used for talking to strangers via online chat. The service randomly pairs up users online into one-on-one chat windows, where they can chat anonymously using different languages. The web app was created by Prolog web team and was launched on November, 2009. The name "DonTalk" is an alteration of Do n Talk. The main thing a user can do in this app is using his native language even though the stranger is a user of other language. DonTalk is also available for facebook users. This app gives an opportunity of choosing an area from the map according to the user’s wish. A user can let his friends know about it, can blog it, share the link in Facebook, MySpace or any favorite social network and bookmarking service.

When you find that an unknown person from a far away country actually is a fan of the same football team as you, or has similar movie choice, or has similar story of life, it is the coolest thing. All on a sudden you will find yourself in a deep and funny conversation.
In some cases, you will find yourself talking about things–your deepest secrets, guilts, grudge, frustration, dreams–things that you can never share with your familiar people. Being stranger to each other opens you up.
In this app, you can select that you are a boy looking for a girl, or the other way.
However, it may be so that we could not find a free stranger according to your preference. In that case, we will hook you up with a random stranger.
If you don’t understand English well, then it’s a not a problem at all. We have a big list of languages. Just select the language you understand and you will receive all messages in that language, no matter what language the stranger talks.
For example, consider the case where you are from China and the stranger is from Russia, and none of you do not know English well. Then, you should select Chinese as your language and (let us hope) the stranger selects Russian as her language. That solves the problem! You will receive her Russian message translated in Chinese, and she will receive your Chinese message translated in Russian.
