It stars Abhishek Bachchan, Sarah-Jane Dias, Kangna Ranaut, Boman Irani, and Jimmy Shergill, among others. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was considered for the female lead in the film. However, Aishwarya had to opt out of the film due to date problems and scheduling conflicts. A new face and two other actresses will be cast for the film.[3] Production had been postponed due to Deo's wife's health issues.[4] Crooked has cast 3 major leading ladies. Besides Kangna Ranaut, there is Sarah Jane Dias, and Shahana Goswami (who shot to fame with the same banner's Rock On!! last year).[5][6] The film went on the floors in Mumbai on Jan. 15, 2010.
