Weddings only happen once a lifetime (or ideally they do) and so it makes sense to make it a special and particularly memorable event. Anyone can play some music form a CD or computer memory,Jazz Up Your Wedding Reception Articles but how about throwing in some real soul? By soul, of course I can only mean one of the professional jazz bands.

Jazz is a slightly antique music style that was red hot before the advent of rock music. In fact, much of the spirit that was embodied in the Jazz age became the energy and inspiration for more modern forms of music. Today, Jazz is frozen as a classical form of music, and new music in the genre tries to be true to the roots. In spite of being on the oldie side, Jazz is still red hot when performed live by a genuine jazz band. You can feel the vibes to the core of your soul.

Jazz originated in the Southern United States, as a fusion of African folk music with western band instruments and techniques. The people chanted melodies that really sang their souls, and the lowly folks who played had a lot of emotion to express. It is from these humble origins that a genuine form of art arose.

While the original jazz musicians are in their graves, there are still many expert jazz bands that know how to play, in London and even in the English countryside. The British cannot allow the colonists to have all the fun, can they? The wedding bands London has on offer know how to play a wide variety of styles, all for the needs and entertainment of the crowd. While some groups specialise in old time music, their range is not too narrow they cannot play requests.

Since the family is going through the trouble to arrange for a band, why not give the wedding a theme? The English are no stranger to regional Yank food, and spicy creole food can match the atmosphere created by any of the wedding bands London can offer. Have the wedding outside, in a garden or park. That would fit the music naturally, and Jazz is strangely better when the wind is allowed to carry it. No one will miss out on hearing it, since it is a boisterous and passionate music.

By comparison, traditional weddings have a reputation for being dry and boring. There is no reason for it to be so; the vows might be the same as they have been for centuries, but the atmosphere and the reception will be a big party full of the energy of a timeless art form. The music seizes your legs and those feet just start moving on their own. What a time it is.
