There are various sizes and models of the RC model tank. The small RC model tank is cheap and is good for children as a toy. But the functionality of the RC model tank is limited. Most of its parts are fixed and in the event of breakage there is nothing that could be done other than to throw away the RC modeltank. For hobbyists the minimum size of a RC model tank should be two feet. The RC model tank for hobbyists are big and they contain batteries that have a longer life and they are equipped with powerful motors. As expected these types of RC model tankare more expensive but it is worth it because the tank is able to perform many realistic operations.

The RC model tank is available in many models. The RC model tank which is modeled on the real tanks used during World War II have models like the German Tiger,RC Model Tank – a gift for the hobbyist Articles German Panther, Snow Leopard amongst many others and are made of die cast metal.

Like other Radio controlled toys the RC model tank could give much fun especially if one simulates a game of warfare.  To engage in a tank battle the models chosen should be advanced and be capable of movement in any direction. To add to these models that could go up an incline would be ideal. The turret is an important feature of a RC model tank that is going to be used for simulated warfare. This is because the turret should be able to fire from any direction and at any angle. Smoking engines, sounds, firing artillery, glowing lights, camouflaged bodies real chain or tire treads gives the game of simulated warfare a touch of reality.

The RC model tank for warfare should also have a good collection of armaments. There are models that use infrared signals and when they hit another tank an explosion could occur. Repeated hits will cause the other tank to be disabled. For demolition effects the BB model tanks are suitable but these models are available only to those who are over 16 years of age. There are also paintball model tanks.

It will be great to make a war game using RC tanks, helicopters and airplanes. The degree of fun that could be achieved would be immeasurable. Age is no bar and you are never too young or too old to start.
