Unlike contemporary clothing for men, these dresses come in a wide range of colours, including some bright colours such as red and maroon and have frills, gathers and brocade embroidery. White, black and grey are other colours in vogue in these dresses. Contemporary synthetic fabrics such as rayon are also used along with the traditional fabrics for these dresses.
