The Life Story of Jessica Alba

Voted as the sexiest woman in the world, Jessica Marie Alba is a gift for all mankind. She is famous for her tightly clothed film characters and ethnic looks.

Jessica Alba (http://www.chickipedia.com/jessica-alba/) was born in Pomona, California to a Mexican-American father and a French/Danish- American mother.  She has a younger brother, named Joshua. Her father worked for the Air Force and his career took the family to several places, before settling back in California.

Jessica Alba was nine years old when the family finally settled down in California.

During her growing years, Jessica Alba was marred with health problems. Twice she suffered collapsed lungs, had pneumonia several times a year, a ruptured appendix and a cyst on her tonsils. During childhood, she suffered from obsessive-compulsive disorder.

At the age of 16, she graduated from high school and attended the Atlantic Theater Company.

When she was 5 years old, she was keen on becoming an actress. She began taking acting lessons when she was 12 years old.

When Alba was 13 years old, she began her television and movie appearances in ‘Camp Nowhere’ and ‘The Secret World of Alex  Mack.

Within no time, she was doing national commercials for Nintendo and J.C Penney. She also starred as a dolphin’s best friend in the TV show ‘Flipper’.

Her biggest break came when James Cameron chose her to be his genetically engineered super-soldier on the Fox sci-fi series, ‘Dark Angel’. Needless to say, the series was a stupendous hit. She won the Choice Actress Teen Choice Award and Saturn Award for Best Actress for her performance in the ‘Dark Angel’ series.

Unfortunately, her movie ‘Honey’ didn’t do well at the box office. But, her next movies ‘Fantastic Four’ and ‘Sin City’ struck gold at the box office, thus making her one of the most bankable stars in Hollywood.

On the ‘Hot 100’ section of Maxim, Jessica Alba is a common sight. Also, she was voted number one on the AskMen.com list of “99 Most Desirable Women” in the year 2006.

In the year 2001, Jessica Alba was voted as the ‘sexiest woman in the world’ by FHM.

She has also appeared on the cover of Playboy, which resulted in a lawsuit, but was subsequently dropped.

Nowadays, she is filming the comedy movie written by Mike Myers, ‘The Love Guru’. She has also sworn to her fans that she will never pose nude in front of the camera, regardless how good the movie is.

On May 19th 2008, she married her boyfriend, Cash Warren. They met on the sets of ‘Fantastic Four’ in the year 2004.

On June 7th 2008, she delivered a baby girl, Honor Marie Warren at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California.

Jessica Alba has been doing a lot for charitable causes.

Clothes of our Back, National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, Soles4Souls, to name a few are some of the charitable organizations that Alba has lend a helping hand. Democratic presidential hopeful, Barack Obama  has been greatly supported by Jessica Alba in the 2008 U.S elections.
