Jackson Square has attracted millions of visitors. It is in the French Quarter, one of the most architecturally rich areas in the city. The square features three 18th century buildings, the Cabildo, the Saint Louis Cathedral, and the Presbytere.

Visit City Park. This 1,300-acre park is in the center of the city and is one of the most beautiful spaces in the area. The 600-year-old oaks here are impressive to say the least.

Be sure that the kids get to see the Insectarium. It is the Audubon Natural Institute, which is a local treasure. It is part of the Aquarium of the Americas run by the organization. This museum is devoted entirely to insects of all types. The Audubon Gardens and surrounding parks are especially enjoyable to guests visiting the area because of their beauty and natural treasure.

Spend some time on Magazine Street. You will find a wide range of shops and restaurants here. Many of them are run by locals and offer one-of-a-kind merchandise to visitors.
