Do not make your decision based solely on the amount of the upfront investment cost. Bamboo is at least more cost efficient than other types of woods for instruments, so get the one that really interests you. By doing this, you may enjoy this hobby and stick with it. In fact, if there is more than one of the bamboo instruments that pique your interest then getting multiple ones and giving them a try could end up resulting in a passion and talent for more than one.
