Love,Vampire Fiction Loaded With Horror, Humor, And… Humanity! Articles Red Wine, & Magick ignores long-standing conventions in vampire fiction, bringing you a hilariously action-packed double-barreled blast of adventure!

Vampire fiction isn’t supposed to be funny.  Being a vampire is serious business, yo.  Screw that.  Love, Red Wine, & Magick makes you laugh out loud with an infectious blend of slapstick, sarcasm, and outrageous situations.

After all, if you’ve just gotten chased by a gigantic abomination made from hundreds of corpses, you’re gonna NEED a laugh to loosen up the tension!  That brings us to our next point…

Vampires aren’t allowed to be people.  They’re cold, distant beings who are beyond human understanding – yet yearn for the warmth of being human again.  Or something like that – it’s hard to keep track.  You’ll find an entirely different approach in Love, Red Wine, & Magick

The book’s leading ladies are fully-realized, well-rounded women just as human as you and I.  Yes, leading LADIES.

And that’s our third point…

For decades, vampire fiction has been dominated by dreamy and/or tragic male vampires.  If a book’s about a vampire, odds are it’s a dude that broods.  That’s all well and good – but being a guy, I LOVE reading about strong, confident, and compelling female vampires…

In Love, Red Wine, & Magick you’ll thrill to the action, adventure, and mayhem alongside modern lady vampires who are NOT stereotypical oversexed predators or cold-hearted Vampira clones… they’re strong, independent, and fully empowered WOMEN!

And they’re funny.

In “Linda Marie,” half-vampire gypsy loudmouth Donita doesn’t know when to shut up and tends to get into situations over her head – she also hates zombies.  Donita’s not like any other gal you’ll meet in standard vampire fiction.

Fortunately, she’s balanced by her lover and best friend Katheryne as the two journey through the ancient Louisiana swamps on a quest to help an old friend – the gentle witch’s common-sense, soft-spoken approach is often the only thing keeping Donita in check.

Donita drives Katheryne nuts, but Katheryne loves her all the same – know anybody like that?

That love forms a powerful bond between the two – despite their arguing – and when a horror from beyond the veil of time rears its hideous, extra-dimensional head in the cosmic climax, that very human bond may be the only thing between our heroines and the end of all life on Earth!

It’s a far cry from the usual stuff you find within vampire fiction – you won’t be reading chapter after chapter of lamenting lost love or struggling with the moralities of drinking blood.  That’s already been done by other authors.

Instead…

You’re treated to a profanity-laced, hilariously action-packed romp that’ll stiffen your spine with tension one moment and make you howl like a hyena the next!

While the stakes aren’t quite as high in “The Ballad Of Thomas Brown,” things get plenty tense nonetheless…

When the all-vampiress biker gang known as the Sisters of Fury ride into Seward County, Mississippi on a hot summer night to hear some old-time blues played by the enigmatic Tom Brown, it looks like it’s gonna be a good time.

But when a local jerk starts trouble, things quickly get out of hand!

Not only is this local jerk a racist, sexist idiot, but he’s got a dark secret swimming around in his family’s bloodline – something from the mountains, from generations ago.  Even though he’s mostly been a hilarious annoyance to ‘ol Tom throughout the day…

When the sun goes down and the moon rides high – and Mort’s rage crests – something happens, and the former annoyance becomes a deadly threat.

You’ll be as surprised as the Sisters of Fury when Mort’s dark secret viciously reveals itself – you’ll cross your fingers, hoping tough-as-nails vampiress Brandi’s powerful enough to conquer to this new menace!

You’ll also be wondering just what ‘ol Tom Brown’s secret is – the wily old bluesman clever, resourceful, and mysterious… there’s something odd about the strawberry wine he’s always drinking.

The truth is – and isn’t – what you might think.  It’ll surprise – even charm – you!

The two novellas within Love, Red Wine, & Magick are not traditional vampire fiction.  They’re not supposed to be, and they ignore the old rules about what vampires should be.

Love, Red Wine, & Magick shatters the old boundaries of vampire fiction – you’ll roll with laughter, tremble with tension, and cheer as our heroines confidently and hilariously kick ass!

If you’re hungry for something new… different… wild… and crazy – throw all your expectations for vampire fiction and throw ‘em out the window.  At this very moment.  And then…
