In current times resorts are favored places for grand weddings of the rich and jet sets. They are most liked party destinations as well. Luxury resorts offer state of art decoration, finest cuisine and grand settings for mega events. Many such resorts are based near towns and cities for easy approach.          

Luxury, fine dining, entertainment, spa, golf course, wedding venues, conference halls, and massage parlors have become the hall marks of resorts all over the World. The resorts conform to five star facilities, amenities and accommodation standards besides delivering on much more.

The destination resorts accommodate families on vacation, business travelers and guest attending events organized by them.

Unlike urban hotels resorts are all inclusive and self contained. They cater to niche segment in the tourism industry. There are resorts with specialties that are part of their management of derived from destination they are in.  Most popular are spas resorts, beach resorts, ski resorts and wildlife resorts. Tourism at resorts has become very popular and is on the increase.
