Global warming, though an observable phenomenon has been placed on the limelight of man's obsession for the past decades.
Unfortunately, with the advent of technology spearheading massive information dissemination techniques, the truth about global warming has remained elusive to those few people who live their lives only for their self-interests rather than for the interest of all of humankind. Atmospheric carbon dioxide from fossil fuels burning mixed with water vapor generally stays in the lower hemispheres trapping hot air and keeping it from being released into the higher layers of the Earth's atmosphere. This effect is called 'greenhouse effect or a 'warming effect that can be experienced due to 'greenhouse gases. Imagine what the glass canopy of a greenhouse aims to do when sun rays easily pass through the glass but since heat is internally trapped, a warming effect can be observed inside the greenhouse. This greenhouse is what agro-meteorologists build to be able to cultivate warm loving plants during cold seasons. As global warming believers illustrate, due to this increasing 'greenhouse effect, more heat from the sun is trapped in the lower hemispheres of the atmosphere thereby causing changes in the usual weather conditions whereby some lead to catastrophic events, losing property and lives. However, this warming needs to be measured and have yet to be proven to be dangerous.
Environmental activists propose that due to the increase of human use of fossil fuels, the future holds forthcoming climactic disasters of global proportions. Evidence on this human environmental crime on the ozone layer is unfortunately subjective and painted with highly emotional and politicized scenarios all in the effort of lessening use of fossil fuels, decreasing pollution, and the sincere campaign for man to take good care of the planets non-renewable resources.
